SUPPORT FOR ELDERLY PEOPLE IN FRONTLINE ZONES
Imagine living through your golden years in fear and isolation, far from the warmth and care of loved ones. Unfortunately, this is the harsh reality for thousands of elderly people and individuals with disabilities in Ukraine’s frontline zones. They endure daily hardship: the deafening sounds of explosions, the cold, and the constant threat to their lives. These are not the peaceful and secure moments they dreamed of in their old age.
In half-empty towns and villages devastated by war, many elderly people dream of just a warm bowl of soup, a heated room, and a kind word. Basic necessities like electricity, gas, and heating have become luxuries they can no longer access.
We, Angels of Ukraine, have taken it upon ourselves to stand by these vulnerable individuals from the very first days of the war. We provide critical food, medicine, and support to elderly people and individuals with disabilities living in these dangerous areas. But we cannot do it alone.
What we do:
• Delivering hot meals to elderly people and individuals with disabilities in frontline zones who lack access to gas, electricity, or coal.
• Providing medical care through volunteer doctors who travel to examine and treat those in need.
• Offering psychological support to help alleviate the emotional toll of war.
• Ensuring communication for those who remain in their homes, so they know they are not forgotten.
